Our Founders

RAY R. CHRISTENSEN

Ray R. Christensen was born in Salt Lake City and was raised in Salt Lake (spending summers on a farm owned by his father’s family in central Utah). He attended the University of Utah where he was a member of Phi Eta Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi and earned his Bachelor of Laws degree in 1944. During World War II, Ray served in the United States Army in France and Germany. After returning from the war, he clerked for Justice James H. Wolfe of the Utah Supreme Court. In 1949, he established the law firm of Moreton, Christensen & Christensen.

JAY E. JENSEN

Jay E. Jensen was born in Honolulu, Hawaii but was raised in California and Utah. Jensen graduated from the University of Utah with a law degree in 1956 and joined the firm of Moreton, Christensen & Christensen in 1958. In 1962, when he became a partner in the firm, the name was changed to Christensen & Jensen.
